Acvila Air mit Basis in Bukarest/Rumänien taucht in letzter Zeit öfter im Zusammenhang mit Vermietung von MD-80-Fluggerät an andere Fluggesellschaften auf. Vorwiegend hat Acvila Air eine Flotte von ex-USAir und ex-Continental MD-80 in Ihrem Portofolio, die dann an Airlines wie Rwandair Express, Kish Airline, Aero Asia und Sierra National Airlines mit rumänischer Registration vermietet werden. Ob die Crews auch von Acvila Air stammen, ist mir nicht bekannt. Acvila Air tritt bisher nicht als eigene Fluggesellschaft auf. Offiziell werden im Frühjahr 2007 zwei MD-83 als Flottenbestandteil angegeben.

Im Mai 2006 wird bekannt, daß sich Acvila Air in "Jetran International Airways" umbenannt hat.
